Jay Lee Dosier, 68, passed away peacefully at his home on May 9, 2017 in Sunnyvale. He was born on October 5, 1948 to Marvin and Christine Dosier in Dallas, Texas. Jay was raised with three older siblings, a brother, John and sisters Patricia and Della.



Jay went to H. Grady Spruce High School in Seagoville. During his lifetime Jay worked at Town East Ford and Prestige Ford before retiring as a loan mortgage broker.

Jay Lee Dosier, 68, passed away peacefully at his home on May 9, 2017 in Sunnyvale. He was born on October 5, 1948 to Marvin and Christine Dosier in Dallas, Texas. Jay was raised with three older siblings, a brother, John and sisters Patricia and Della.



Jay went to H. Grady Spruce High School in Seagoville. During his lifetime Jay worked at Town East Ford and Prestige Ford before retiring as a loan mortgage broker.



Jay’s greatest pleasures in life were his family, along with his and Betty Gail’s two dogs (Simon and Smokey). Jay was an avid Golfer and Gardner. Jay’s beautiful and meticulous flower beds even earned him the Yard of the Month award. When Jay was not playing golf with his buddies or gardening he equally enjoyed watching his favorite teams “The Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers and his favorite golfers on the Golf Channel. Jay will be deeply missed by those that loved him and we will forever hold him in our hearts.



Preceding Jay in death are his parents Marvin and Christine Dosier-Williams, his step-father Lawrence Williams, mother-in-law Faye Turbeville, sister-in-law Joanne Chandler, grandniece Olivia Chandler-Kelley and nephew Jerrell Anthony Chandler.



Those left to cherish Jay’s memory are his beloved wife of 26 years Betty Gail Chandler-Dosier, siblings John Dosier and wife, Michelle, Patricia Gordon and her husband Stanley, Della Cernock and her husband Jerry, niece Rhonda Merritt and her husband Kevin, and their two children Peyton and Cale; brother-in-law Tommy Joe Chandler and his wife Vicki; nieces: Ashley Chandler-Kelley and her husband Johnny along with their three children Jaela, AJ and Luke, niece Keri Wood and her husband Keith along with their two children Ashleigh and Kyle, niece Karen Johnson and her two children Kayleigh and Kamri; nephews: Dan Chandler, his two children Jonah and Autumn, Brian Reed and his wife Lauren, and a host of friends including his best friend Phil Matthews and his wife Barbara that will all miss Jay dearly.



The family will host a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., followed by interment, where Jay will be laid to rest in the Garden of Peace.
