Melba had many enjoyable experiences in life including playing on the basketball team that went to the 1951 state championship game. She liked to spend time outdoor tending to her yard and flower gardens. She liked to bake and cook for her family especially for her grandsons. They truly had her heart. Melba loved music. She also sang in the chorus at the Seagoville Church of Christ for many years where she was a member from her childhood.
